君はチャンピオンになりたいか？『GearsofWar』世界大会開催！
Xbox 360用ソフト『Gears of War』の世界最強プレイヤーを決定する大会「Gears of War Xbox LIVE 世界トーナメント」が開催されることが明らかになった。
本大会は、デジタルゲームのオリンピックと呼ばれているイベント「ワールド・サイバー・ゲームズ」を開催するワールド・サイバー・ゲームズが主催となって行われるもので、開催期間中の「総殺害数」を競うことになる。
約24の国で開催される「Gears of War Xbox LIVE 国内大会」の結果、世界ランキング11位以内に登録されたプレイヤー（国内1位を獲得しても世界ランキング12位であった場合は対象外となる）は、チェコのプラハで開かれる「Gears of War Xbox LIVE 世界トーナメント最終決定戦」に招待される。
日本国内での大会は、4月9日～5月6日に開催。なお5月5日までの期間、トーナメント登録受付ページにて参加者の募集が行われているので、腕に覚えのあるプレイヤー諸氏はふるって応募してもらいたい。
開催期間中の「総殺害数」によって順位が決定する本大会。参加は5月5日まで受け付けているが、少しでも早く参加した方が有利となる。
