マフィアとの壮絶な抗争を描く『The Darkness』明日発売

　スパイクは、明日6月26日にPS3用ソフト『The Darkness（ザ・ダークネス）』を発売する。価格は7,140円（税込）。

　本作は、ニューヨークのスラム街や地下鉄を舞台に、「ダークネス」という闇の力をその身に宿した男とマフィア組織との壮絶な戦いを描く本格アクションシューター。プレイヤーは元ヒットマンの主人公“ジャッキー”となって、マフィアの手下たちと戦いながら己の生い立ちや一族に流れる闇の血の秘密を探ることになる。

　二丁拳銃やマシンガン以外に使える闇の力「ダークネス」には、蛇のような外観のクリーチャーを操って敵を襲う「クリーピングダーク」、敵を突き刺す「デーモンアーム」、敵の魂を抜き取る漆黒の穴「ブラックホール」などがある。また、ダークネスは光源を破壊し、暗闇を作り出しながら闇のパワーを補給することで、永続的な発動が可能となっている。
