人気TV番組「バフィー」「シンプソンズ」がXboxワールドコレクションとして発売決定！
マイクロソフトは、海外のゲームタイトルをセレクトし、日本のユーザーに提供するXbox用ソフトのシリーズ「Xboxワールドコレクション」第2弾を12月25日に発売する。ソフトの価格は各4,800円。
今回発売されるのは、『Buffy the Vampire Slayer：Chaos Bleeds』、『The Simpsons Hit & Run』、『Return to Castle Wolfenstein：Tides of War』、『Wakeboarding Unleashed featuring Shaun Murray』の計4タイトル。10月に発売された第1弾はスポーツゲームが中心だったが、第2弾は『Buffy the Vampire Slayer』や『The Simpsons Hit & Run』など、日本国内でもケーブルTVなどで放送され、知名度のあるTV番組をモチーフにしたアクションアドベンチャーゲームがラインナップされている。
新たな海外タイトルが追加されるのはクリスマス当日。お手頃価格となっているので、自分がプレイして楽しむだけではなく、プレゼントとして友だちに贈ってみるのもいいかも。
米国で長期に渡って放送されている人気ドラマを原作とした『Buffy the Vampire Slayer：Chaos Bleeds』。プレイヤーは主人公“Buffy”を含む6人から好きなキャラクターを選択し、吸血鬼やゾンビといったモンスターたちに挑んでいく。
『The Simpsons Hit & Run』はTVアニメ同様、スプリングフィールドを舞台に主人公の“Homer”が活躍するアドベンチャーゲーム。脚本や声優は、アニメと同じスタッフが担当している。
