第1弾は計13タイトル！PSP用ソフトの廉価版シリーズ「PSPtheBest」リリース決定
SCEは、PSP用ソフトのヒット作を新価格で気軽に楽しめる「PSP the Best ＜Best Selling PSP Software＞」シリーズを11月17日より新たに発売する。
「PSP the Best」シリーズ第1弾は、11月17日に7タイトル、さらに12月1日に6タイトルをそれぞれ発売。タイトルラインナップは、『METAL GEAR ACID』、『みんなのGOLF ポータブル』、『ことばのパズル もじぴったん大辞典』、『リッジレーサーズ』、『ルミネス』、『ARMORED CORE FORMURAFRONT』、『どこでもいっしょ』、『テイルズ オブ エターニア』など計13タイトルで、価格はそれぞれ2,100～2,800円（税込）となっている。
11月17日には、PSP本体に「メモリースティック PRO デュオ 1GB」などの周辺機器を同梱した「PSP GIGA PACK（ギガ・パック）」の発売も予定。「PSP ギガ・パック」とともに、これら人気ソフトをあわせて購入してはどうだろうか。
また、12月1日には「PlayStation2 the Best」シリーズとして、計6タイトルがリリース。こちらのラインナップは、『ティアリングサーガシリーズ ベルウィックサーガ』、『戦国無双 猛将伝』、『決戦ＩＩＩ』、『信長の野望・天下創世』、『侍 ～完全版～』、『喧嘩番長』で、価格は1,714円～3,990円（税込）。
