Xbox360『ウイイレ2008』体験版プレイレポート6カ国のナショナルチームを使用可能
KONAMIより11月22日にPS3とXbox360で発売予定の『ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2008（以下、ウイイレ 2008）』。ここでは、マイクロソフトブースで出展されていたXbox360版の体験版をプレイしたレポートをお届けする。
試遊台はビジネスデイの午前中にもかかわらず、順番待ちが起きるほど盛況だった。体験版では試合時間が5分ハーフで、CPUのレベルを6段階から設定可能。選択できるチームは、ブラジル、ポルトガル、アルゼンチン、スペイン、フランス、トルコという6つのナショナルチームに限定されている。
プレイして最初に感じられるのが、Xbox360版の『ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブンX（以下、ウイイレX）』よりも、「選手のモーションがより細かくなっている」こと。移動、パスなどは従来のシリーズよりも動きが「重い」といえなくもないが、選手のボールさばきやトラップ、切り返しなどを考慮した結果と考えれば十分納得できる。特に対人戦では「一歩先を読む」重要性がさらに増したといえ、オンライン対戦が大いに盛り上がりそうだ。
その他、リプレイが両チームの各選手を個別に指定して、その選手を中心とした視点で見られるようになっていたり、セットプレイ時のカスタマイズが非常に細かく、例えばサブキッカーを使えるようになっていたりと、丁寧に作り込んでいる印象を受けた。まさに『ウイイレX』からの「正統進化」といえるデキだ。
なお、KONAMIのブースにもPS3版とXbox360版両方の『ウイイレ 2008』試遊台が設置されている。試遊したい人は、混雑の具合を見てどちらのブースで遊ぶかを決めるとよいだろう。
試遊台では、2人対戦もできるようになっている。ペアで対戦してみるのもおもしろそうだ。
