本作は、アメリカで人気のコミック『スパイダーマン』を題材にしたアクションゲーム。プレイヤーはスパイダーマンを操作して、コミックからインスパイアされたストーリーや、ヴィランたちとの戦いを体験していく。ビルの屋上や地下鉄など、コミックでおなじみのロケーションが舞台となる全12ステージを攻略しよう。
