『ボーダーランズ』開発会社の新作『バトルボーン』日本発売は5月26日。オープンβテストも実施予定
2Kは、『Borderlands（ボーダーランズ）』シリーズを開発したGearbox Softwareによる新作、PS4/Xbox One/PCソフト『Battleborn（バトルボーン）』の国内発売日が5月26日の予定であることが発表されました。

本作は宇宙に残された最後の星・ソーラスを舞台に、個性豊かなキャラクターたちが戦いを繰り広げる1人称シューターです。対応プラットフォームは、PS4、Xbox One、そしてWindows PCとなっています。また、オープンβテストの実施も予定されており、スケジュールに関しては近日お知らせされるとのことです。
ストーリーモードでは、物語に沿ってゲームが展開していきます。最初から最後まで1人でプレイすることもできますが、分割画面や通信機能を使って他のプレイヤーと一緒にプレイすることも可能です。
マルチプレイヤーモードは、それぞれ内容が大きく異なるモードが3種類あり、最大10人のプレイヤーが2チームに分かれ、5対5での通信対戦を楽しめます。
