『メトロ』シリーズは、戦争によって荒廃したモスクワの街と、被害を逃れた人々が生活するメトロ（モスクワ地下鉄）を主な舞台として物語が展開する作品です。『メトロ エクソダス』では、主人公たちが蒸気機関車“オーロラ号”を手に入れ、ロシア全土を横断する旅に出ます。
公開されたトレーラーは、ゲームの魅力をテンポよく表現した内容となっています。
